Electronic, Experimental

A'Bear & Pat Grimm (AV) + mattrobson & HajduKino (AV)

IKLECTIC, SE1 7LG , [Venue Details]

An evening of high-octane experimental electronics and visuals.

A’Bear

Described by Resident Advisor as ‘wonderfully unhinged’, A’Bear combines psychedelic polyrhythms with distorted bass lines and warped vocals. South African born, Australian raised, and London grown, Janine A’Bear’s music production and live performances invoke a dreamlike quality and encourage inclusivity and feminist utopia on the dance floor.

Visuals by Pat Grimm

Visual chef projecting omelettes of colours and real slime. Diving into rainbows of liquid matter. Aiming to skip complex electronics for the sake of physical play and mental healing. Recent Glastonbury Gas Tower in Shangri-La performance with Johnny Halifax and The Howling Truth and New River Studios with Fear of Fluffing.

mattrobson

Having spent as much time in the indie rock trenches (drumming in bands such as The Blanche Hudson Weekend) as hard at the coal face of laptop hammering (previously under the name of randomNumber) Robson’s latest material, featured on the recently released “Underville” EP, showcases a slightly more off kilter and experimental touch.

Visuals will be provided by independent film maker, Stewart Morgan.
