Hagen Quartet

Wigmore Hall, W1U 2BP , [Venue Details]

A particularly masterly work, Mozart’s K464 is another of his six ‘Haydn’ Quartets. Written in 1789-90, the three so-called ‘Prussian’ quartets were originally intended for Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia, an amateur cellist – although the planned dedication did not in the end work out.
