Maja and Julia are two forces of nature who bring musical fire to Fidelio every time they appear here. In this very compact recital they start from the maturity of late Beethoven and his nostalgic visions of nature to move on to the disturbing ghosts of Schumann and his unpublished third violin sonata, two movements of which were written as part of the FAE sonata in the tumultuous months of 1853, shortly after his first meeting with Johannes Brahms.
