Cellar Upstairs Folk Club, The Alpaca, N1 8LU , [Venue Details]newish duo from Phil, best known for singing old-time American songs with his wife Cath, and Sarah, a sweet-voiced singer who used to sing with the group Woven Sky.
They take their cues from Martin Carthy, Shirley Collins and others, and their songs mostly from the English tradition, plus a few Appalachian and original pieces, many in harmony and with accompaniment on guitar, banjo and other instruments; Phil and Sarah's album was released in 2022 to widespread acclaim.
