Usually duoing with fantastic pianist, Nick Cooper who’s rhythmic playing “pulls the whole thing up” making it a lot of fun.

As a trumpet player, Karl spent many years playing for all the top musicals in the West End, and nationwide tours – now, paying homage to all his favourites in his new act: Jazz From The Shows. Enjoy amazing and complicated show tunes that have been completely rearranged with the genius Mark Murphy.

You will hear music from West Side Story; 42nd Street, Guys & Dolls; Wild Party and more! After spending 20 years playing in shows – sat in the pit, it’s a lot of fun for Karl to be singing them now. Look out for his Chet Baker act – with Baker’s romantic and despairing call for love – it will have your date swoon especially when Karl gets out the flugel to play Funny Valentine.
